This Merlot was vinified in a combination of open and closed top stainless steel fermenters to preserve the fresh fruit flavours. After fermentation the wine was transferred to seasoned French oak barrels for a further 6 months. Bold red fruit on the nose, cranberry and pomegranate with thyme. Juicy combination of fig, red currant and black plums on the palate balances with savoury flavours of tobacco, cedar, and liquorice. Soft, silky tannins with a medium body and hints of milk chocolate on the finish.
