The Mencia is sourced from 60-100 year old, low-yielding, bush vines, planted 500 - 650m above sea level, with yields typically 1kg per vine. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak. Black cherry, balsamic and toasty aromas. On the palate cassis fruit combines with mocha, spice and structured tannins to give a rich and savoury finish.
